- ATV’s are only allowed to be used during the night-time hours if the ATV has both a head and a tail light.
- All ATV’s are required to have a muffler, brakes and spark arrestor.
- It is unlawful to operate an ATV on any public land unless that land is specifically designated for ATV use.
- Never ride on public roads, except to cross, where permitted by law.
- Avoid drinking alcohol before or while driving an ATV, because alcohol can impair judgment and response time.
- Stay off paved roads.
- A person must be 16 years of age to operate an adult sized ATV.
- Youth starting at age 14 can operate an ATV with an engine size of of 90cc or less.
- Youth under the age of 14 are not permitted to operate any size ATV.
- An operator of an ATV must wear an approved helmet.
